Fixtures Update...

First half of the Season. Captains Report.

The first half of the season has had it's ups and downs. Ups being some great wins against Old Abbotstonians, Phoenix, Feltham, Northolt, Hammersmith and Fulham. The biggest score loss against any team being kept to only 27 points. Some of the downs being the close loss to Hayes and inability to side a team against British Airways. Unfortunately, so far, some players received injuries preventing them playing all matches, some injuries have been worse than others. To name a few Mike 'China' Roberts, Simon 'Fragile' Crouch, Dafydd, Paul T., and Wyn. We are still looking forward to the return of Mike in the New year.

BUT I have been very proud to say this present Osterley side started with only nine players this season. It has grown stronger every week. Some thanks clearly being to a new mate of Dafydd or Tom joining us each week. You've all played well.

Osterley now has the foundations to only get stronger and stronger. This has been due to the hard work put in by yourselves on the pitch and especially Geoff Upsdell who manages to get us all together every week.

A Big Thank You.

Osterley have shown some amazing commitment and ability to play some great rugby when faced with some strong oppositions this year. We are still looking to create a larger pack and welcome any new players you know or might meet over Christmas. I think we have a lot more to give in the second half of the season and look forward to us all having a short rest before our games in the New Year.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and enjoyed the break. I know I did.
I'm sure most of you now need to get rid of a few pounds where you over indulged for two weeks solid on beer, mince pies and turkey.
The time has come to get those festering rugby boots, wet towel and shorts out of that plastic bag from last year. Yes, you know who you are. Where you forgot to take them out the bag after the last match. They should be mature enough now.

This second half of the season is now upon us and the time has come for Osterley to make an impact in our league. We have more than enough potential in our side and just need to bring our skills together. You ALL know we've got more to give.

The first two months of 2006 has the following league matches. MARK THEM IN YOUR NEW DIARY. Please, Try to avoid other engagements on the LEAGUE (L) days.

The first game is this SATURDAY against QUINTIN at HOME. Please let Geoff or myself know your availability for this match A.S.A.P. I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING AS MANY OF YOU AS POSSIBLE.
